Cheryl Heloise Brown

Cheryl Heloise English Brown was born September 18, 1950. As a devoted member of St. Phillips Episcopal Church, Cheryl embraced her faith early in life, a foundation that guided her through her journey with grace and resilience.

A beacon of excellence from the start, Cheryl graduated at the top of her class from Scipio A. Jones High School in 1968. She was active in various functions and was a member of the Drill Team. Her intellect and determination were matched only by her boundless curiosity and passion for life. In her career, she worked and traveled with Gary Weir (Bozo) as his photographer, where her professionalism and kindness left an indelible mark. Cheryl decided to try a different city and moved to Memphis, TN to work in Human Resources with Smith and Nephew and finally with Harrah's. She truly enjoyed living and working in the "Home of the Blues" but decided to move home. Upon relocating to Little Rock, Cheryl became the head Administrative Assistant for the North Little Rock Street Department where she was highly respected and admired by all employees.

Cheryl loved her family and loved family gatherings. She was the chief photographer during those gatherings, making sure everyone got together for a picture before departing. Her sons were her pride and joy, a testament to her love, guidance, and unwavering support.

Cheryl had a zest for life's simple pleasures. Some of the things she enjoyed were jazz music, traveling, black history and culture, fellowshipping with friends, hearing her family sing, taking walks, the farmers market and tea. Oh, how she loved her tea, the whole experience, tea cups, tea bags, steeps, tea pots, the whole nine yards!

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Frank and Ida Mae Smith, mother Carutha Braden, father Robert Gray and one son Gerald English, She leaves to cherish a son, Bolden Brown of Little Rock, a stepson, Keith Brown of Memphis, one sister Chris Peacock, of St. Louis, two brothers, Guy Gray, Chicago, and Herman (Rita) Davis, Menifee. A loving host of relatives and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Cheryl's legacy is one of love, resilience, and a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A visitation for Cheryl will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 10201 Highway 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas.
