Annette Berry Stanton, 79, of Bryant, Ark. was born on July 21, 1939, in Brinkley, Ark. to Clara Berry Kinkaid and Richard Berry. She graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Annette was a devout member of Antioch Baptist Church. The family’s matriarch, she provided for her family through her career at the Arkansas Highway Department where she retired in 1999 as well as H&R Block.
She will be remembered as a giving woman known especially for her welcoming smile and crafting. Her love for others is preserved in the many beaded Christmas ornaments, crochets and crafts that she made for all those she cared deeply for.
Annette loved her family and enjoyed watching it grow through marriage and children. She is survived by her three children, Gayla Hodges (Steve), Barry Stanton (Tonyia), Diane Smithson (Dennis); six grandchildren, Heather Faulkner (Glyn), Aaron Hodges (Lauren), Rachel Morrow (Ryan), Rebecca Moll (Bailey), Shelby Stanton (John Greer), Sydney Stanton (Matthew Mooman); and five great-grandchildren, Brad Faulkner (Madeline), Jordon Faulkner, Zachary Faulkner, Braylee Greer and William Morrow; as well as a host of family and friends.
