Born in Vancouver BC on July 24, 1935. Barb, Mom, Grandma passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in Langley, BC on March 23, 2024, with her daughters Erin and Lia and Granddaughter Taylor by her side.
Barb lived life her way. She was vibrant, loving, elegant and a great friend to many. Barbara was always attentive to the beauty that surrounded her. She loved decorating, gardening and was always impeccably put together. Friends and family were incredibly important to her, and she made great efforts to stay in touch with her nieces and nephew as well as her many close friends and their “kids”. Some of Barbara’s favourite memories are as a small child spending her summers at Deep Cove with her family, spending Friday nights on Vista Place with one of her dearest friends and going out and kicking up her heels with the other one. After being the sole provider for most of her girls' lives and having to work lots of times when she would have preferred to be with them, Barbara relished in the role of being Grandma. She loved spending time with all her Grandkids. Not to be forgotten, the Ladies of James Court were especially near and dear to her heart. Over the last 18 years many hours were spent together walking, doing the puzzle, having a glass of wine or just being silly.
She is survived by her family daughters Erin (Brent) and Lia. Grandchildren Alexander, Taylor (Maxfield), Austin (Ashley), Denver (Kelvin), and Nelson (Makayla).
Please join us for a Memorial Open House held in her honour on Sunday April 21, 2024, from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM in the amenities room at James Court 20448 - Park Avenue, Langley, BC.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated.
