Doug Anderson

Douglas Eugene Anderson, age 90, passed away May 21, 2022, peacefully at his home in Rockford, TN. Doug served in the US Navy as an Electronics Specialist, installed the first EMI Scanner at Fort Sanders Hospital, coached several sports teams, and owned many businesses. Doug was preceded in death by wives, Evelyn Browning-Anderson, Nancy Ann Anderson; son, Fred Anderson; parents, Fred Anderson, and Mary Worms-Anderson and brother-in-law, Gerald Potter.

Survived by sister, Lillian Potter; children, Rick (Debbie) Anderson, Steve Anderson, Sandy (Fred) May, Gary Anderson; grandchildren, Christi, Drew (Anna), Lauren (Russell), Brent (Katie), Brad (Morgan), Amanda (Jon), Aaron (Mandy), and Jason; stepchildren, Andy and Lisa, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and special friends, Vicki Whiting and Mae Reece Bingham.

Graveside service will take place Wednesday, May 25th meeting at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 2:45pm for a 3pm committal service. Rev. Matthew Dixon officiating.
