William Donald Knisley, age 74 of Albion passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at his home under the loving care of his family and Heartland Hospice. He was born August 15, 1945 in Albion the son of Robert and Alice (Wilbur) Knisley. He married Linda Vincent on June 6, 1980 in Albion and she survives.
Also surviving are his children: Robert Donald Knisley, Kathryn Marie Knisley, Sherry Lynn (Ivan) Carter, Terry Lynn Knisley, Jerry Lee Knisley; 5 grandchildren: Lee, Ivan, Maggie, Jerry, Justin, 2 great-grandsons, sister, Dianna (Jim) Browning and brother, Alvie (Marci) Shaw.
William, a lifetime Albion resident, was a very busy guy, always finding something useful to do. He loved mechanics and took pride in his ability to fix things like lawn equipment. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and loved his Gospel music. He was employed many years with Kelsey-Hayes and then retiring as a press operator with Dowding Tools.
William’s family will celebrate his life with a private memorial service at Freeway Church in Albion with Pastor Steve Meszaros officiating.
