Teresea Marie Ratliff

Teresea Marie Ratliff, age 50 of Homer passed away suddenly, Monday, October 24, 2016. She was born May 19, 1966 in Albion the daughter of James D. and Rita J. (Yates) Hamilton. She married Marty Ratliff, Sr. on August 20, 1983 in Albion and he survives.

Teresea was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother; her kids and grandkids were her whole world. She was very selfless and giving and would help anyone in any way she could. She always put other’s needs before her own and she gave the greatest hugs! Teresea was an amazing cook as well and her family will greatly miss her cooking. She also loved music, especially country and oldies and loved to read; Nora Roberts was her favorite. Her passing has left a great void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her loving husband of 33 years, Teresea is also survived by her mother, Rita (Bob) Woodhurst, step-mother, Cindy Hamilton; daughters: Megan Ratliff, Amanda Williford and Amber (Chris) Bryant, 11 grandchildren: Farah Eding, Zayne Ratliff, Abagail Eding, Hannah Ratliff, Natalie Williford, Anna Williford, Betty Williford, Christian Bryant, Savannah Bryant, Wyatt Bryant; brother, James (Mandy) Hamilton, sisters: Pam (Shannon) Shepherd, Sheryl Deason, sister-in-law, Paula (David) Bowersox and several nieces and nephews.

Teresea was preceded in death by her father “Daddy”, James, son, Marty Ratliff, Jr. “Buddy”, granddaughter, Ariona Fletcher, brother, Donald Hamilton, special uncles: Evert Hamilton, Ronald LaFromboise, cousin, Lori Ann Watkins and grandparents: John Yates and Margaret Yates-Baldridge and Thomas and Beulah Hamilton.

Teresea’s family will celebrate her life on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Cody Shepherd officiating at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI. She will be laid to rest next to her son, Marty at Albion Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
