Sandra Jane Williams

Sandra Jane Williams was born January 1, 1951 to William A. Cook and Emma D. Cook of Montgomery, Alabama. Sandra was the youngest of 6 children. Sandra was introduced to the church and was baptized at St. John Parish in Albion, Michigan. In her young life she loved music, cooking, bike riding, arts & crafts, gardening and car rides to Chicago, Detroit and through the country winding roads with her family.

Sandra was a student at Dalrymple School, Washington Gardner School and she graduated from Albion High School in 1969. One of her first jobs was a dispatcher for the Albion College Security.

After attending Jackson Community College, Sandra became a Paraprofessional at Dalrymple School and Crowell Elementary School. She worked in the Albion School system for 27 years. Sandra was also involved in youth summer enrichment programs over the years. After retiring from the Albion Public School System, she later received a nursing certificate and worked as a CNA in Calhoun County and surrounding areas to continue her love of helping others.

Sandra Cook joined Frank Williams in matrimony and their union blessed them with two sons, Clarence B. Williams born October 10, 1974 and Derek J. Williams born October 9, 1977. Sandra was also blessed with two grandchildren, Tasianae Williams and Sophia Williams and a whole host of Step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren that loved her very much.

God allowed Sandra to complete her journey to reunite with her mother Emma Cook, her father William Cook, sister Mary L. Cook, brother Earl Cook and loving husband Frank Williams.

She leaves numerous family, loved ones and friends with precious memories including brother William Cook II (Shellie), sister Barbara Golson (Norwood), sister-in-law Karen (Earl Cook), brother Dan Cook (Joanne) and a whole host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

As a Daughter, Sister, Mother, Wife, Grandmother and Friend, she will be loved and missed by all.

A family hour for Sandra will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at J. Kevin Tidd funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr, Albion, MI. A burial will occur Friday, June 16, 2023 at Riverside Cemetery, Albion, MI.
