Goldie Luella Martin, 95, of Albion, passed away Monday October 22, 2012 at her Residence. She was born March 11, 1917 in Eckford Township, Michigan to Ora and Alice (Fishel) O’Dell. She was married to William Royston, Bernard Niceswander and Albert “Mickey” Martin and all have preceded her in death.
She has been a resident of the area all of her life. She had worked at the Coffee Cup in Albion, Win Shuler’s in Marshall for 7 years, and also worked at Corning Glass Works in Albion for 22 years as a Quality Control Inspector, receiving her 60 year Pin recently. She was a member of the Albion Eagles Aerie # 1265; the Marshall Moose Lodge # 676; and the Albion Elks Lodge # 1798 Vivian’s Society. She enjoyed Crocheting and Recording Movies.
She is survived by 1 Daughter Gloria (Richard) Juday of Endicott, New York; 3 Sons Robert Ray (Thelma) Royston and Larry (Betty) Royston both of Albion; and Donald (Mary) Royston of Hudson, Florida. 17 Grandchildren; 43 Great Grandchildren; 34 Great, Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great, Great, Great Grandchildren; and several Step Grandchildren. 1 Sister Rena Snyder of Howard City, MI; 1 Brother Leslie O’Dell of Marshall, MI. Besides her Husbands, she was preceded in death by 3 Sisters Velma Signor, Grace Butters, and Darlene Peters; 6 Brothers Jim, Floyd, George, Rolland, Arthur, and Bill O’Dell.
Visitation for Family and Friends will be Thursday October 25, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Friday October 26, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Martin Officiating. Burial will follow at Rice Creek Cemetery-Lee Township, MI.
