On January 12, 2023 Dakota was united in marriage to Ashley (Brocker) in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Dakota was a loving, devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend who lived his life to the fullest and was known to be a jokester. He loved to have a good time hanging with his friends, but also enjoyed precious time spent with his family, especially his wife and kids. Dakota worked hard and was employed as a truck driver, but he also played hard, spending time fishing, hunting, hanging out at a bonfire or just being outdoors. He was a talented guy who loved to fix things, especially rebuilding cars or anything else that needed fixing.
Dakota leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ashley, children: Lincoln Zick, Braylynn Miller-Ratliff, Wyatt Miller Ratliff, his parents: Miles and Lori Miller-Ratliff, siblings: David (Jessica Luke) Ratliff, Brandi (Kyle) Maes, Andrea Music, Maverick Miller-Ratliff, grandparents: Dick and Barb Miller, grandma, Charlene Hawley and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by brother, Jesse Cousino and grandparents: Gannon and Roberta Ratliff, step-grandfather Roy Hawley.
Dakota’s family will celebrate his life on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley DR., Albion with visitation beginning at 11AM until the time of Service at 1PM with Pastor Harol Jewell. He will then be laid to rest in Mosherville Cemetery.
