Carol “Ann” Freeman age 80 of Albion passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at her home under the loving care of her family and Elara Hospice. She was born January 3, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of Robert and Carol Elizabeth (Browning) Ritchie and they preceded her in death.
Ann married James Freeman on June 1, 1958 in North Webster, IN and he survives. In addition to her loving husband of 61 years, she also leaves children: Kevin Freeman, Hope (Jay) Miller, Mark Freeman, Laura (John Walters) Freeman; grandchildren: Leeanna (Matthew) Paul, Sean Miller, David Shuford, Briana Shuford; great grandchildren: Lexi, Brooklyn, David, Darren, Raylyn, Christopher, Dakota, Ashton, Carol Ann; great-great grandchild, Cooper and sister, Becky (Jack) Rhoades.
Ann worked as Chief Med Tech/Director and was employed at Sheldon Manor, Albion Community Hospital and finally retiring from Trillium in 1996. She found joy in working the blood drives. Ann enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was generous with her talents, making hats and booties for many charitable organizations. She also enjoyed her many pets, gardening, camping, traveling and reading, her favorites being Science Fiction and Espionage. Most of all though, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
According to Ann’s wishes, cremation will take place and services will be held at a later date.
