Louise Caroline Grizer Hicks Cook

Louise was the beloved wife of both the late Eugene W. Hicks and Orville A. Cook, and the loving mother of Eugene W. (deceased) (Jeanie) Hicks Jr., Amy L. (William) Peters, David F. (deceased) (Cheryl) Hicks, Robert M. Hicks and her beloved “baby boy” Darryl K. Hicks.

Louise leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, her sister Jeanette “Jenny” McCambridge, brother Richard Grizer, sister in-laws Jean Grizer of Marion PA, and Gwen Grizer of Akron OH, and many nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Edith Grizer, 8 brothers, 1 sister and her beloved angel granddaughter; Tara Leann Hicks.

Louise deeply loved the Lord with all her heart and always tried to be a good Christian example to her family. Each generation got to see more and more of her love for Jesus.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, 12 noon, at the Catavolos Funeral Home 3653 W. Market St. Fairlawn, where family will receive friends from 10am until time of services.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Louise’s name to Maranatha Bible Church 2410 Massillon Rd. Akron, OH 44312 or Moody Bible Institute 82 North LaSalle Blvd. Chicago, IL 60610.
