Edward H. Rogers

He married the love of his life Sept. 19, 1953. He retired from Wilcox Transfer Co. after 35 years. Ned was a trustee and member of Norton Apostolic Christian Church where he was baptized in 1979 and enjoyed singing in the choir and gospel quartets. He also enjoyed basketball, volleyball, softball, horseshoes, skating, fishing and playing cards with friends.

Preceded in death by parents Edward George & Myrtle Mary, sisters Betty & Nancy & Brother Bud. Ned is survived by wife of 60 years, Louise; daughters Sherri (Dan) Kroslak, Donna (John) Hunyadi, Peggy (Bill) Jackson, Barb (Dave) Hollendonner, Patty (Roger) Webel, 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brother Norm & sister Jean. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice whose special care made Ned’s last year of life pleasant. Special thanks to caregivers Laura, Carla & Myra.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2014 10am at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME

3653 W. Market Street, Fairlawn where the family will receive friends Sunday, 2-6pm.
