Blair J. Warner, Jr., better known as Buck to family and friends, passed away on November 25, 2024. Born on December 23, 1953, to parents Blair and Edith Warner, he was the second of six children raised in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1972 and married Cheryl (nee Purnell) in 1975.
Buck was mechanically inclined and worked in maintenance departments for Rockwell, Akron Foundry, Rubbermaid and International Paper. He loved the outdoors, especially the Mohican area, and enjoyed deer hunting with his brothers, son Josh and nephews and got a kick out of riding ATVs in Wayne National Forest. He also restored a 1955 Dodge Truck and regularly took it to car shows, including Winks in Barberton.
His most recent passion was spending time with his grandson Luka, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl Warner (nee Purnell), his daughter Christina (Christy) Warner and her husband Jason Antill, his son Joshua and his wife Melissa Warner and grandson Luka Warner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jeffrey Warner and his beloved son Benjamin.
Friends and family will gather for calling hours on Thursday, December 5th from 4-6PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St. in Akron.
