Craig sadly passed away unexpectedly at his home in Guelph on Saturday March 16, 2024. Craig had a deep love for his children and was the beloved father of Hayley (Dawson Bolger), Brandon, and Ryan Kri. He was the cherished son of Tony Kri (d.1975) and Patricia McDowell (nee Smith) (d.2012), and step-son of Roy McDowell (d.2005). He was the much loved brother of Mark and his wife Christine, Darcy, Jodi Worthman and her husband Jamie, step brother Elwin McDowell, and the late Todd Kri (d.2016). He adored his nieces and nephews, Anthony, Bradley, Michael, and Carissa Kri; Garret and Tyler Kri; and Taylor and Brady Worthman. Craig will be forever remembered by his long-time supporter and best friend, Judy Eaton (Jeff Harmer). He will be missed and remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Craig was passionate in helping others that were struggling, always wanting to help others in need, he had “A heart as big as he was”. He was meticulous when it came to his passion for stone masonry and was always proud to show off his work. Being a lover of music and jamming sessions, he will undoubtedly be playing his guitar in the clouds with his friends that have gone before him. A lover of animals, especially dogs, we take comfort in knowing that Craig has finally been reunited with his furever friend, Arizona, at the Rainbow Bridge.
A funeral service will be held at Mackinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, on Thursday March 28, 2024 at 4pm. Celebration of Life following at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 197 – Acton.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Craig’s memory to: The Guelph Community Health Centre, Wyndham House – Guelph, or Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
