My deepest sympathies to all of Carols family.  I just heard the news today.  Carol and I recently reconnected via Facebook and we had a great time catching up on the old Acton days. She was a member of the Acton 4H Club and had many fond memories to share of the Braida family and in particular,Nino.  Carol brought me up to speed with the where abouts of some of our old school chums and how they were doing.  She will be greatly missed.

Carol will be sadly missed by many.  She stayed connected with her many friends and updated the news of the day.  Living in Owen Sound I would often see Carol at different events.  She enjoyed life, and our mutual love of 4-H from our days of working together in OMAF.  I will miss Carol's humour and emails of news about mutual friends and interest. Her loss will be shared not only by her family, but by all those who had the privilege of knowing Carol.

My condolences to Carol's family. It was a joy to work with Carol over the years with OMAF/RA. And have so appreciated Carol keeping many of in touch in the post OMAF/RA years. Carol will be missed and remembered 

Sara, Lisa and Family  I was deeply saddened to read about Carol's passing.  I worked with Carol at OMAFRA and she was a passionate and caring extension worker particularly with the 4-H Program.  She set a great example for the rest of us with her dedication, commitment and great ideas to help young people "Learn to Do By Doing" (the 4-H Motto).  Many young people can credit Carol for the great start they got in leadership and caring for the community they live in.  In later years she was always sharing the news with us about our former colleagues or 4-H members.  We will the "News".  Carol cared deeply about agriculture and young people and this is what I will remember her for.  May you find strength and comfort in the caring thoughts of family, friends and Carol's extended community of 4-H and agricultural connections.  Phyllis MacMaster

I came to know Carol through our mutual interest in dairy artifacts. She was deeply committed to rural Ontario and I was always struck by her "generosity of spirit" and mindfulness of others. May God bless her and may she forever breathe easy.    

Our thoughts and sincere condolences go out to Carole's family upon Her sudden passing.  In the past few years we have stayed in touch with Carole through her postings on the internet and the sharing of information and the comings and goings in the agriculture community across Ontario.  Rod worked with Carole in the OMAFRA office in Welland in the early 1980's and had the chance to see the passion and love for agriculture and the broader rural community that she brought to work each and every day.  May pleasant memories of her contributions and her passion for rural Ontario help carry you through this time of sorrow.

I was saddened to read of Carol’s passing.  She and I worked from the North Niagara Agricultural Office in Vineland. She always had great ideas of getting members involved. After we all retired from those careers – she did her best to keep me informed of all the grown up 4-H members and their families that we worked with in the North Niagara area.  What a worker and supporter of everything connected to agriculture!!! Blessings to all of her family – it’s always tough when our loved ones are taken suddenly. Remember Carol our buddy for what she was able to accomplish along the way that was not always downhill. 

Carol was an advocate for doing what is right, speaking her mind and thoughts.  Carol was always willing to help in any way possible.  She never let her health in the last years interfere with her accomplishments and strived to what she could to make the world a better place.  Carol will be missed, yet her attributes will continue to treasured.  Prayers for strength, and peace for Sara and Lisa and their families and Carols siblings and extended family. 

So sorry for your loss. I just spoke with Carol as she went through my register at Valumart in Sauble. Such a nice lady.

I have always admired Carol's passion and commitment to 4-H and working with her many years ago it was evident that she cared about young people and agriculture.  My sympathies to her family and know that she touched many lives over the years. 

My deepest sympathy to you all.   What a truly incredible lady that will be sorely missed.   Had the privilege of being with my daughter Janet in Acton many years ago  and meeting Carol and being fast friends. Keeping in touch with long emails over the years and sometimes photos was so fun.  She was so so loving and giving !!!!   A true gift to so many of us and inspiration also!!!  RIP sweet one !!! xo
