Tammi went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born June 29, 1960, in Abilene Texas, Tammi was the middle child of John and Collene Faught. Tammi graduated from Abilene High School in 1978. She would go on to attend Hardin Simmons University and later graduate from UT of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Tammi gave her heart and soul to Christ at a very young age. She followed him faithfully. The Lord remained her rock and fortress throughout her life.
Tammi met her soul mate in Gary Ellison. They married on July 16, 2016 and remained together until his passing on July 20, 2018. Gary and Tammi shared a common love for horses and dogs. Tammi rode with many groups. She greatly enjoyed riding her horse Trigger. Tammi was involved with the Taylor County Sheriff’s Posse, the Lone Star Ladies, and the 40 Something Cowgirls. She made friends of a lifetime with Cheryl Hughes, Lana Sutton, Jeanie Bohn and Faye Dodson. Tammi was involved in Civic Organizations such as the Ben Richey Boys Ranch and the Kiwanis Club Chapter of Abilene, Texas. Tammi worked with Stovall Realtors/Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. She attended many churches but lately cowboy churches.
Tammi was preceded in death by her husband Gary Ellison and her father John Faught. Tammi is survived by her mother, Collene Faught; her brother, Mark Faught and wife, Genea, of Abilene; her sister, Edee Newcomb and husband, Matt, of Azle, Texas; her niece, Aubrey Woerner and husband, Thor, of Bulverde, Texas; nephew, John Kelly Faught, of Abilene, Texas; nephew Cole Newcomb, of Azle, Texas; niece Grace Kelly Newcomb, of Lubbock, Texas; great-niece Covey Woerner; and great-nephew Gunnar Woerner, both of Bulverde, Texas.

Tammi was a loving daughter, sister, and faithful friend. She never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all, but we take comfort that she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior.
