Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
Shirley was born May 10, 1937 in Hampton, Nebraska to John and Katherine Klassen. She had one brother and two sisters.
She moved to Texas and later met and married J.T. Fletcher. They were blessed with two children - a daughter and a son. Shirley and J.T. were avid tennis players and were known as “partners forever” both in life and on the tennis court. They were happily married for 54 years before J.T.’s passing in 2014.
Shirley is survived by her son and daughter in law, JT and Patsy, 11 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Jackie, her parents, her siblings, and many beloved pets.
