Mary Ann Jolly Bowman born September 17, 1932 passed away June 1, 2015 at the age of 82 after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 in the Elliott- Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St., Abilene. Kathi Edwards, chaplain with Hendrick Hospice Care, will be officiating. Mary married, Doyle Bowman on December 15th 1951 in Abilene, TX. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing bingo, and board games. She loved to laugh and sing. Mary enjoyed life to it's fullest. Se will be greatly missed by all the hearts she touched. She is survived by five children; John Jolly and wife Sheila, Terry Bowman, Barbara Leggett and husband Alan, Kenneth Bowman, Melissa Quinn and husband Eddy, three siblings; Zella Beck, Frances Manning, and Frankie Jolly, nine grandchildren; Chris Summers and wife Stephane, Scott Quinn and wife Sonie, Marshall Summers, Josh Quinn, Daylen Leggett, Stephanie Scoggins, Michelle Weaver and husband Matthew, Janeen Kirby, Eric Jolly and wife Denise, sixteen great-grandchildren; James Summers, Dakota Quinn, Alex Quinn, Isabella Quinn, William Quinn,Miyrah Quinn, Joel Summers, Daylen Leggett, Norma Summers, Matthew Niko, Johnathon Lenard, Paul Lenard, Brooke Kirby, Conner Kirby, Richard Weaver, and Maven Jolly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to caregivers at Silver Spring and Hendrick Hospice for the care they gave our loved one.
