Predeceased by her mother Patricia Hanson and survived by a wealth of family both blood and spirit.
Through her struggles she became a rare & precious gem which shone a loving light on all who had the honor of knowing her. Renee always fought fiercely for family including anyone who needed support and strength which she would give freeheartedly. To say she was there for you would be an understatement, she held a presence of empathy, humility and pure love.
Renee is survived by her parents Michael Doucette (Barb Doucette) and Marlene Doucette, sisters Kelly Doucette (Murray Paulson) and Chantelle Doucette, her 3 sons Ryan (Katie Humphrey), Ritchie (Jayden Silvester) and Reagan Stard as well as her grandson whom she raised Trenton Doucette.
Renee is also survived by her nephew Jessie Doucette, nieces Chloe & Rayanne Doucette, 2 beautiful grandchildren Novalee and Luka Stard as well a wealth of aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Renee will always be known for her love of all creatures, continuously homing unique critters from rescued racoons to her most recent addition of Dragomir the Werewolf Kitten. She raised Mushu, her 15 year old Boa Constrictor, bonded with Merlin, her Palomino horse and adored her Princess Pitbull Khaleeshi, nursing her through a litter of puppies…and this is just to name a few.
Her connection to the Animal Kingdom and nature was an essential part of her spirit and one of her happy places.
Another strong passion in her life was health and fitness. Something she wished upon everyone and for her it was a necessary therapy. She excelled in all aspects including competitions and working with others on improving theirs through personal training. The gym was also a special happy place for Renee.
But her ultimate passion was family. Raising her children and grandchildren was the most important aspect of her life… her everything. She made sure to reach out to everyone as often as possible including close friends who in her eyes were family.
Almost everywhere Renee went became her happy place. Her mission became to see the good and the light in everything no matter what.
Her smile will forever be our happy place.
My Final Gift....
It is now time for me to move on
into the dusk, but also the dawn.
I will remain as the morning comes
as I’ve left behind a gift for someone.
So another may walk, may talk, may see,
where their life was locked,
I offered a key.
I am a donor to someone in need.
My final gift, my final deed.
