Lea, with great sorrow I write these words, my regret was that I did not get to see you before you left us.But I know in my heart we will meet again someday and talk about all the good times we had. You were a great man and I am proud to have known you.

I met Lea a number of years ago when I joined the Tuesday afternoon cribbage group at the West Vancouver Seniors Centre, where he was a regular player.  We shared the same keen interest in the game and enjoyed playing both with and against each other. I know that he was liked by all the members of the group, and we were deeply saddened over his passing.  Please accept our sincere condolences.

Pease accept our sincere condolences.  Lee will be missed by many for his humour and fiddle playing.
We enjoyed his last trip down east -- Iroquois, Ontario.  He stopped down for the afternoon.  I brought out my violin for Lee to play. Our son-in-law was here with his guitar and Dwight with his guitar.  What sweet music.  Our grandson Spencer was here along with neighbour Jada.  They were seven at the time.  We were all singing -- the kids were trying to stepdance -- etc. etc.   We had such a good time and so many laughs.  

We will certainly miss Lee's phone calls and visits.

Where does one start with a man that was not only an Uncle, but also a friend to me. .  Uncle Lea you showed me a different view on life and help guide not only myself - but also others through difficult times.  Your time and friendship will never be forgotten, and I will always remember you for your music, kindness, and all the great times you shared with me. Uncle Lea, you were a very special uncle.  When I was young, you brought music into our homes which created wonderful memories I will never forget.  The last 5 years when we reconnected through my dad, I really got to know what a caring person you were.  The hours you spent with my dad when he was not well was priceless and is something I will always thank you for.   It was wonderful to hear the music and laughter that came from the two of you on those special times.
As the years continued, I saw what a kind and compassionate person you were; always offering a helping hand to the many friends you came in contact with.  You enjoyed your home and life in general and always looked at the humor and positive side of life.  I am so glad to have spent time with you.
You will be missed by me and so many others!
