Gustav Wagner

Gustav Wagner was born on September 1, 1932 and passed away from cancer on November 16, 2017. He was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He leaves behind his wife Martha of 61 years, 3 daughters Ingrid Lang (Ron), Agnes Goldstone (Rod) and Heidi King (Ian), 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Huff of Edmonton, AB.

He was a dairy farmer in Abbotsford for many years and then switched to a beef operation. Gus loved to walk, especially around Mill Lake Park with his dog, travel to many places in their motorhome, spending winters in Arizona and fish in the interior of BC.

In his final years, his grandchildren and great grandchildren brought true joy in his life.

We would like to thank the wonderful home care workers, palliative care staff in Chilliwack and Abbotsford and Woodlawn Funeral Home. Service to be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 2029 Ware Street, on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
