Clara Yuen Chun Wong

Clara Wong passed away peacefully on December 17th, 2020, at the age of 75. Born in Macao, she moved to Hong Kong for work, then immigrated to Canada, which has been her home for the last 45 years. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 51 years, Mario, daughters Frances (Derrick) and Gloria, two wonderful grandchildren Julian and Elise, and sisters Teresa, Theresa, and Monica. She was also the aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews spread across Canada, the United States, and Asia. As a lifelong devout Roman Catholic, she expressed her concern for others through prayer, for loved ones past and present.

Besides her family, Clara’s joys were Line Dancing and spending time with her crafts group at the Abbotsford Seniors Association. She also enjoyed her weekly walking group and tea time afterwards. She was known for her energy, enthusiasm, and love of travel to new places.

A limited-attendance funeral mass was held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford, BC, on December 23, 2020, and she was subsequently interred at the Gardens of Gethsemani in Surrey, BC.
