My sweet Ms. Dorah.....I miss hearing your voice, seeing your smile, and you always sending love and prayers to my family.  For the ten years you were in my life I watched how you were an angel to all around you; constantly giving all you had to help others. Your words were always a source of comfort for me when I needed you. I miss you so much and although I know you are dancing in heaven I wish I could give you just one more hug. You have forever changed my life. I love you,

The birds really did stop singing, the listener could not bear living without them singing to her  and she sleeps till the resurrection morning when she will be awaken by the music of her birds she loved so much. May your life of sacrifice that touched so many life's and Gods mercies stand for you as righteousness  on the of judgment . Sleep on and rest from your wearies, we would have loved you stay with us longer but alas it is not to be. 

Sleep on the Queen of compassion, you were Extraordinary . Extremely generous even to your own detriment.

Aunt Dora

You were always so kind and always  showed love to each member of our family. You were undoubtedly a great Auntie, Mother and Grandmother all in one. You will be missed.

I met Aunt Dorah when I started attending Atlanta North in 2006. Since then we always have a moment for a little chat each Sabbath and at social gatherings. She is always pleasant and cheerful.  I have never really ever heard her complain about anything, health or otherwise.  She is a friend of our family. If my brother Barry was not in church on a Sabbath, she would say to me “where’s is my brother? Tell him he cannot leave town without speaking to me first “. Of course I duly pass on the message. My sister in law Dorothy had a special relationship with her as well.  On behalf of my family I express our condolences, prayer for the family and know that Aunt Dora lived a full accomplished life and rose above challenges she faced on her earthly sojourn. Her challenge is for all of us to fight the good fight, keep the faith so we can all meet up again in the earth made new 

I have many fund memories of my Aunty, all of them are centered on her love for us and selflessness. During the Nigerian-Biafra Civil War,  Aunty Dorah sent gift package to us through members of World Council of Churches. She also wanted to know if we were alive. 
When I had my first child Uche Aunt Dirah traveled from NY to Baltimore just to cook for me. Aunty I love you and I miss you. 

Da Dorah was an amazing woman born with a golden heart. When we first came to the states, she helped us out without even knowing who we were or meeting us. Throughout the years, she would always ask how we were doing, and would continue to pray for us and encourage us whenever we needed it. Her memories will be forever remembered, and her presence will be missed.

Chizaram: Da Dorah celebrated with me with every accomplishment I had, and when I had any worries, she would always pray for me. She encouraged me to keep on pushing forward, and to keep looking to God for strength when I didn't feel like I could do it. She was such a kind and loving mother and her presence will forever be missed.

Chituru: Da Dorah was like a third grandmother to me. She was very kind and loving and caring to me and everyone else. I'll miss the times I saw her sitting in the last row of the pews in Atlanta North Church where she would always hug me and ask me how I was doing.

It was absolutely devastating to hear about her passing, but we know that she is resting, waiting for the second coming of Christ to be reunited with her friends and family in heaven. 

What a warm and beautiful heart!  We are so grateful to have enjoyed Auntee Dorah’s friendship, love and prayers.  We ALWAYS felt encouraged and so loved in her presence.  She’s at rest now, but we look forward to seeing Auntee, together forever, at Our Saviour's  soon return!



Daa Dorah , your smiles and words of wisdom and encouragement will not be forgotten. Though it pleases the Lord to call you home at this time, your good deeds will never be forgotten.  We trust that beyond the absence there is a presence.
That beyond tha pain, there can be healing. 
That beyond that brokenness there can be wholeness.

Growing up I have always know Daa Dorah as Aunt Dorah.  She has been a big Aunt to everyone who comes across her . Whenever you need advice she is there to listen and talk to you.  You have lived a selfless life and if only I can be like you and live a selfless life. She is a gem we have lost. We know that u have gone to rest in the lord,  we will see you on the glorious morning.  

TRIBUTE TO THE BEST AUNT IN THE WORLD

I first  met Aunt Dorah in August, 2011 on my first visit to Atlanta shortly after I got married to her nephew, Emeka Alozie. My husband had told me so many great things about her.  So when he took me to her house to meet her, within minutes of my visit I could see all the wonderful things unfold.  She welcomed me very warmly and before I left, she gave me a gift which I treasured and have as a keepsake.  From that time up till her passing, we were in close contact.  Aunt Dorah was very extraordinary in so many ways.  She was full of grace, wisdom and strength.  She always had words of encouragement, very loving, caring and extremely generous.  Every conversation with her left me happier and rejuvenated.  I'm happy that I got to know her and enjoyed the beautiful experience while she was alive. I will miss her greatly and pray that we will meet again on the Resurrection morning.  May her gentle soul rest in Peace.

I remember when I was a little girl,  Aunty Dorah would come to Maryland to visit us. 
Each time she came, she would give me and my brother "Pocket money." 
To me, (a child in the single-digit age), it was a huge deal. I treasure the gesture even more now as an adult, because I felt seen. 
Not because of the money per se, but because she thought about us enough to bless us with her presence and leave us with a token of her appreciation. 

Thank you Aunty Dorah. Although your presence may no longer be with us physically, your legacy will live on with us and through us.

 In igbo land, "ahụrụ m gị n'anya" means " I love you" but literally translates to " I see you." Thank you Aunty Dorah, for seeing us.

TRIBUTE TO THE MOTHER THERESA OF OUR TIME

I grew up to know this woman as an aunt who cared so much for every member of the family both immediate and extended. She made every effort to help us climb the ladder of success. She used her singleness as a gift to reach out to many.
Her life was a selfless and sacrificial one yet to be compared with any other. The beauty of her heart still shone forth even when age and sickness have taken their toll on her physical beauty. 
The God who created her has deemed it fit to call her to rest.
ADIEU to my lovely Aunt Dorah till we meet to part no more. 

I remember when Aunty Dorah would check on me and my family often. She would pray for us and wish us well until the next time she called. She reminded me to stay positive and trust God. I am going to miss those calls but I am so grateful to have had her in my life. May her beautiful soul, Rest In Peace.

Da Nnalu, 
You have been part of my family for as long as we can remember, that means before my family came into being.  You took me to City Tabernacle in Manhattan NY to pray for this family  to be created,  and after that meeting  Chinyere's visa was approved and she came and this family started. Throughout, you represented  a mother, a big aunt, a sister, and a grandmother to every member of the family.  It was a great and admirable relationship to the envy of those who did not have the opportunity to enjoy this . There was this mutual love and affection that prevailed thus making Da Nnalu a house hold name. When I remember some of your responses like  Da Nnalu "Mazi Ka Nka. You always responded, Akaachalam, oga foro unu".  My heart is very gladdened. You were special to us.  You had planned to attend Silachi's wedding this past March but the Novel Corona Virus prevented you. Thank you for you have always been there for us. 
Your children here that spoke to you just before you went back to the hospital that Sunday morning are all happy that they had the opportunity to speak with you one last time.  
Da Nnalu, sleep well until that time when we shall meet to part no more.

We are saddened by your departure but eternally grateful to God who kept us all this while. You will be greatly missed but will be mostly remembered for your kindness and love for humanity. It has pleased God to let you sleep this time and we know that on that resurrection morning we all will meet to part no more.

Daa Nnaalu was in her lifetime a feminine dignity and comforter who does not believe that anyone should lack any good thing, except for herself. She lived for all of us and became so many things for so many people. 
Her life was a book so open and bold that you don't need glasses to read it. 
When I lost my mom early in May of 2020, she just said; don't bother 'every one will see her in you'. Little did I know she was going home.  She constantly spread hope, comfort, and peace to all that was in contact with her. Never heard her use derogatory language. I pray we live her type of life of overwhelming patience and endurance till Christ is seen in all of us. 
Sleep on GREAT DAA DORAH. 

IN MEMORY OF DORAH NNALU NZOTTA (1934-2020)

Aunt Dorah, our family is filled with great hearts but when i think of special ones, i always think of you. You were so kind and loving, caring and compassionate. We found consolation in you whenever we were downhearted, your benevolent smile, generosity and kindness lifted our hearts anytime you were near us. 
You did not forget any  of my birthdays, you were always the first to wish me a happy birthday and send birthday gifts to me. What an awesome aunt you were. You sacrificed your happiness and pleasure for everyone in the family, putting aside your needs so that everyone else's could be taken care of.
My mom is a cancer survivor today thanks to you because you allowed God to use you to bring healing to her. You did not count the cost but you showed the love. Your love knew no bounds as you showered your love to everyone in the family both young and old.
You made us believe that we are precious and unique in our own ways and that we can achieve our goals if we work hard and pray. 

Your life of legacy truly inspires me and teaches me to do good to others regardless of whether they are deserving of it or not, without counting the cost or expecting that they will appreciate it or do good to me in return.
Though your smile is gone forever, i will have many memories of you. Your memory is a keepsake with which i will never part.
Your death has terminated the moments we enjoyed with you. I do wonder if we will ever find anyone to take your place. You left a hollow no one can ever fill half way.  

ADIEU Aunt Dorah! Rest on till the Resurrection morning when the Lord himself shall raise you and we shall be united and never  part again.  





Doran, is always praying and encouraging me. Whenever, things would be tough, I would call Dorah and she would be delighted to pray with me. She would always ask for a 911 prayer on my behalf. She delighted to hear about my boys Peter and Elisha. Although, we never met in person as she was the leader for Help from Above Prayer Ministry. Where Pastor Samuel Asare as the leader. She would call members to wake up for worship via the teleconference. I loved her spirit and her motherly care for my family and I. She and her sister are a joy and truly has a love for Jesus.
