Gil was raised in the North Gila Valley. He had so many stories of riding dirt bikes, swimming in the Gila River, adventures with his numerous cousins and friends. You might have even spotted him behind the bar at the North Gila Valley store. He was a Yuma High Criminal Class of 1974. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling and actually bowled a 300 many times. Gil worked 37 years for the University of Arizona, Yuma Agricultural Center. He was a field foreman and that's where he met his wife Judy of nearly 30 years. They went on many adventures on his Harley with an amazing group of friends. Gil had a smile that wouldn't quit. He was good at reading people and always knew the right thing to say at the right time. He had a quick wit and taught his grandkids to say "Ahuevo".
Gil is survived by his wife Judy, children Gibby, Andy, Jessica (Fabi), Angelica and Thomas. 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Sister Priscilla (Julio) Castro.
He is preceded in death by parents Tony and Lydia (Chata) Gill, brother Tony Gill.
