Antonio R. Rodriguez passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the age of 62 at his home in Yuma, Arizona. He was born on June 13, 1948 in Somerton, Arizona.
Antonio "Indio" served in the US Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He enjoyed learning about his Native American Culture, and he loved to go fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Indio is survived by his daughters, Anna and Angelica Rodriguez; sons, Antonio II and Andres Rodriguez; his beloved grandchildren, Alicia, Andres Jr., Angel, Alex Rodriguez and Arik Martinez all of Yuma, Arizona. He is also survived by his ex-wife Amelia "Molly" and numerous nieces, nephew, and cousins.
Preceded in death were his father, Guadalupe Rodriguez; mother, Guadalupe Rivera; brothers, Rufino and Joe Rodriguez; and his girlfriend Becky Morton.
The Visitation for Indio will be Thursday, April 7, 2010 at Johnson Mortuary Chapel it will run from 5 pm - 8 pm. The Scripture Service will be at 7 pm at the mortuary. A private cremation will be handled by Johnson Mortuary and Indio's cremated remains will be scattered along the Colorado River on Friday, April 8, 2011.
