I have known Doug a long time. He was one of my best friends. He could be a stubborn rascal, but everyone he ever met liked him. I honestly didn't know anyone who didn't like him! He was generous, he was kind to everyone. He was right where he wanted to be in his life, with the love of his life my best friend Tammy. She definitely brought out the best in him. I'm really going to miss you Doug. Rest in peace my friend.  Love Karen

Doug and I were together for 16 years and we loved each other very much. His passing was sudden and unexpected. Sometimes when I get off work and get home I still expect him to be there with dinner ready so we could eat together. He was a very good cook. Doug was also a good man and sometimes a big kid at heart. I'm really going to miss him but he will always be in my heart and in my memories.  I Love you Douglas.

I do know that he was real good with his hands. He could build or make just about anything and loved helping others. Doug was an amazing friend. And I’m glad I knew him.

Hello this is Doug's good friend Vic. Doug was like a brother to me for more than 20 years he was part of our family up at our house working on projects all the time. I guess it kept him out of trouble and me too! Doug had a wonderful eye for art and he learned how to paint from his talented mother Diane. He was also a great model builder and designer. Doug had a lot of talents he was a good mechanic and could fix things when needed just about anything. Our friendship grew through the years and I shared a lot of good times and laughs with Doug. We went down to Quartzsite a couple of times and he bought some nice items for Tammy. We went deep sea fishing and to the movies and up to the mountains. Yes we had our share of partying and Doug loved my family Pam and Philip, the feeling was mutual. Doug had a great sense of humor and between us we were always joking. Doug bought all our cars over the years. And we worked together on many projects. You know... now that he has gone to heaven, I miss him more than ever and I didn't realize how much until he was gone. Doug was a part of my life and I will never forget the love and friendship we shared. I will truly miss him.

So sad to hear of Doug's passing.  I will always think of him as a "brother from another Mother."  So many memories.  My thoughts and prayers are with Diane, Barbara, Craig and all of the Washburn family.
