Bonnie was born January 13, 1947 to Gordon and Myrtle Bergesen in Minneapolis, MN and died October 1, 2024 in Fontana Kaiser Hospital, after suffering a severe stroke.
She was a founding member of the Crest Forest Historical Society (now Rim of the World Historical Society). She was a loving wife to her husband, Tom. They enjoyed traveling together to such places as Puerto Vallarta, Spain and Portugal, Banff, and the eastern seaboard from Orlando to Stowe, VT.
She and Tom moved from Crestline into their beautiful one story house in Chapman Heights in Yucaipa in 2004. She oversaw the construction and took pride in planning the landscaping of the yard. Having worked in a B&B in Lake Arrowhead, Bonnie was a natural as a decorator, and displayed a knack for keeping a charming home.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Thomas Powell, her daughter Wendy, her sister Norene.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter Stacy, her Parents Gordon & Myrtle Bergersen, her brother’s Roger, and Dennis.
