Francis Michael Farrell, 84, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021 at Banner Del E Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, Arizona after a short battle with Covid-19 which he caught shortly after entering a long term memory care facility. Frank was a 17 year resident of Sun City and was active in the bowling and bocce clubs and was proud to compete at the Arizona Senior Olympics.
Frank was born and raised in Paterson New Jersey to parents whose families had immigrated from Ireland and Italy. He was one of 9 children born but only 4 of them made it to adulthood. Frank had a long career at the Barbizon Corporation in NJ and Utah as a pattern maker of women’s lingerie. He started out sweeping the floor there and worked up to supervisor. When younger, Frank was an avid bowler with many 200+ games and was a life long fan of the NY Yankees.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Georgina (nee Neill), son John, brother Tom, all 3 of whom passed of cancer. Also predeceased by his parents Jennie (nee Jacalone) and Francis Michael Farrell.
Lovingly remembered by his surviving sisters Mary and Katherine in NJ. Other survivors are his son Frank of NJ; daughter Chris McNeil (Ron) of AZ with grandkids Karen Hill (Billy), Shanon; and daughter Arlene Donnelly (Ken) of FL and grandkids Christopher, Jason and Kenny; widowed daughter in law Chin of NV; and 2 grandkids Catherine and Elizabeth from first marriage of son John.
His family will deeply miss him and will fondly remember his motto: Take it one day at a time. There will be no services for the cremation.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a local Covid-19 relief fund or the Valley View Food Bank (feedingaz.org).
