On Saturday November 2,2019, Vicki Kay Noah of Yorba Linda, California went to be with her Lord and Savior. Vicki was born on February 17,1955 to Reverend Edward Roger Hargis and Ula Mae Cantrell in Anderson, Indiana. During her teen years her family moved to Michigan where she graduated from John F Kennedy High School. Following the family's move back to Indiana Vicki met her husband of 40 years Douglas Samuel Noah. On June 1,1979 Vicki and Doug were married. They welcomed their daughter Serenity Jo Noah (Nelson) in March of 1981. After the arrival of their son Douglas Samuel Noah II in October 1985 they moved to California. Except for a couple years living in Pennsylvania, Vicki spent the last 34 years happily in California with her husband, children, 4 grandchildren and her beloved dogs. Vicki was known for the greeting cards she would send to all her family and friends for every birthday, anniversary and holiday without fail. She also loved cheering for her favorite sports team from the Broncos in football or Tony Stewart in NASCAR.
She is survived by her husband Doug, Mother-in-law Marjorie Jean Noah, son Douglas II, daughter Serenity and son-in-law Shawn Nelson. Grandchildren Rachel Mae Star Strong-Noah, Brooklyn Nicole Jean Strong, John Joseph Strong II, Kara Ann Marie Nelson and step-grandson Austin James Nelson. Fur-babies Fluffy and Ruger. Her siblings Diane (Mark) Looper, Denise (Rick) Maultra and Neal (Lisa) Hargis, Brothers-in-law Larry Noah, Alan (Stacey) Noah and Curtis (Brenda) Noah. Her honorary Son-in-law and Daughter-in-law John and Nancy Strong. All of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Plus, her dearly loved aunts, uncles and many many cousins.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents Reverend Edward and Ula Hargis. Brothers Keith Edward Hargis and Mark Alan Hargis, brothers-in-law Mickey Christ and Scott Douglas Jr, nephew Michael E Christ and great nephew Gabriel Reed. And her dogs Buddy and Harley.
We will be having a service in California at 11 AM on November 11th at Richfield Community Church at 5320 Richfield Road, Yorba Linda, CA. McAulay and Wallace Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. We will be having a service at Valley Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Anderson, IN at 2996 IN-236, Anderson, IN on Friday November 15 at 1 PM. Visitation will start at 11 AM. Per Vicki's wishes it will be a closed casket. Arrangements will be handled by Loose Funeral Home in Anderson, IN. Vicki will be laid to rest in West Sunbury Union Cemetery in West Sunbury, PA on Tuesday, November 19th. The time for the burial is still being determined. Young's Funeral Home in Butler, PA will be handling the arrangements.
