James Klay Moorehead

JIM WAS BORN TO GARY EDWARD MOOREHEAD AND KAREN ANN (KLAY) ON AUGUST 16, 1964, IN LAKEWOOD, CALIFORNIA. HIS HIGH SCHOOL YEARS WERE SPENT AT TROY HIGH SCHOOL IN FULLERTON, WHERE HE KEPT BUSY PLAYING BASEBALL AND FOOTBALL AND MADE MANY LIFELONG FRIENDS.

HE ATTENDED THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, WHERE THE SPORTS INFORMATION DEPARTMENT HELPED HIM CREATE A PATH IN THE FIELD OF SPORTS.

IN 1989 JIM BEGAN AN INTERNSHIP WITH THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS IN THE MEDIA RELATIONS DEPARTMENT AND SPENT THE NEXT 26 YEARS WITH THE ORGANIZATION, SERVING AS THE SENIOR DIRECTOR OF MEDIA RELATIONS.

HE MARRIED DENISE MACDONALD ON FEBRUARY 13, 1993 AND SHE BLESSED HIM WITH TWO SONS, MICHAEL GARY AND MATTHEW DONALD. HE LOVED HIS BOYS VERY MUCH AND WAS PROUD OF THE FINE YOUNG MEN THEY HAVE BECOME.

JIM RETURNED TO YORBA LINDA IN 2018 TO BE CLOSER TO HIS MOTHER, KAREN AND STEPFATHER, CHUCK AYRES. HE LOVED HELPING HIS COMMUNITY AND THOSE IN NEED BY VOLUNTEERING AT THE ROSE DRIVE FRIENDS CHURCH FOOD PANTRY.

JIM WAS A WONDERFUL SON, FATHER AND FRIEND WHO WILL BE MISSED BY THOSE WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM.
