William was born in Glasgow, Scotland to William and Martha Fraser. He moved to Yonkers when he was 15, with his parents and 3 brothers Thomas (deceased), Hugh, and Finlay. William carried a piece of Scotland in his heart always, reciting The Selkirk Grace before each meal.
William bravely served in the US Air National Guard from 1955 to 1962. Dedicated in everything he did, William spent 37 years with The New York Telephone Company.
In his lifetime, William loved staying active and engaged in many sports. In his early years, he was an avid soccer player, and continued to love the sport from the sidelines as he watched his family play. You could always find him playing racquetball, bowling at Homefield where he had a high score of 297, or golfing into his 80’s as part of the Dunwoodie Golf League in Yonkers.
William and Domenica Marie Radesca married on Halloween in 1958 and enjoyed over 65 loving years together. During their life together, they shared their love with 4 children: William, Marie, John (deceased), and Jeanette, along with 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. William loved America and travelled twice across the country with his wife and children, exploring its scenic national parks. William was known for always putting his family first and for seeing the best in everyone he met.
