It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maynard Todd Tippetts, a devoted father, loving grandfather, and cherished member of our community, who passed away suddenly on December 21, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on November 15, 1958, in Ogden, Utah, he was the son of Dorothy and Maynard Tippetts. Todd is survived by his beloved sisters, Tina Manning and Tanya Olsen, his brother, Troy Tippetts, his children, Ryann Mejia and Remi Tippetts, and his grandchildren, Sofia, Marco, Nicholas and Emma Mejia. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Weber State University and his PhD in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University. He was a professor of chemistry at the College of Mount Saint Vincent for many years and most recently worked at Cal Poly Pomona. He will be deeply missed for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and passion for science.
A visitation for Maynard will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. Final disposition is private.
