Stephanie Merritt Barnes (nee Broughton) passed peacefully at the age of 60. She was a long time resident of Yonkers where she attended Commerce High School and graduated in 1973. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for thirteen years. She is survived by her loving husband Dudley, her daughter Jessica (Alex) Cancel, and her son Brian Merritt. Her seven loving grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Eugene, Maureen (John Witkiewicz), John (Karen) Robert (Kathleen Soto). Stephanie loved her family and her grandchildren were her life. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on , Monday, March 7th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
