Sr. Mary Anne Cronin S.C.

Sr. Mary Anne Cronin (Sr. Maureen Timothy) was born on July 20, 1935. She entered the Sisters of Charity in 1953 and professed vows in 1956. Her early ministry experiences included teaching in elementary schools in Manhattan, Bronx and Staten Island. Her aptitude for finance led her to teach accounting at Cardinal Hayes High School and to serving as Treasurer for the Sisters of Charity. She also served as Internal Auditor at the St. Vincent Medical Center. Sr. Mary Anne was a Member of the Board of Trustees of the College of Mount Saint Vincent and of Fox House. Sr. Mary Anne is survived by her sister, Ruth Cronin Miklas, nieces, Marianne Donnelly, Erin Mullen, Denise Burdsall and nephews, Francis Carter, Thomas Joseph Kearns Jr., Conrad Kearns and 12 grand nieces and nephews, 2 great grand nieces and many close friends. Wake Convent of Mary the Queen, 35 Vark St., Yonkers, N.Y.10701, Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with, a vigil service at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM on Monday, July 1,2013, burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Charity of New York.
