Robert T. Henning of Yonkers died on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at age 62. Born on January 4, 1948 to Andrew and Erma (Cook) Henning in the Bronx where he was raised and graduated from St. Nicholas of Tolentine Grade School and Dewitt Clinton High School. Mr. Henning worked as an engineer for the New York City Dept. of Education for over twenty years retiring in March of 2009. Bob was a Vietnam Army Veteran serving from 1968 to 1970. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant and received the Vietnam Service and Campaign medals. He belonged to both the Bajart Post on McLean Ave. and the VFW Empire Post 375 in Yonkers. On October 21, 1995, he married Marilyn Massello in Hastings. She survives living in Yonkers. He is also survived by his daughter Michele (Juan) Caraballo of Florida, his granddaughter Mikayla, his brother Andrew Henning of Long Island and his niece Stacey Ann Henning. Visiting Hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Ann’s Church (Midland Ave.) on Friday June 18th at 9:30 AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
