Mary Anton (nee Longo), a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Tuesday January 23, 2018 at St. Joseph Nursing Home. She was 103 years old. She was born on December 10, 1914 to Guiseppi and Maria Longo in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Anton was a dressmaker at several dress shops in Yonkers for many years. She married her loving husband, Joseph Anton on June 18, 1939 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Yonkers. Mr. Anton died in 1972. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Anton and his wife, Susan of Ossining, Robert Anton and his wife, Kathy of Florida and two daughters, Gloria Bentivenga of Yonkers and Lorraine Wszolek and her husband, Roger of Yonkers. She is also survived by 15 grand-children and 21 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dolores Gardner. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Final disposition will be private.
