Donna Kelly, of Brewster, formerly of Yonkers, passed away on January 14, 2017. She was 68. Donna was born July 14, 1948 in Yonkers to the late Rudolph and Florence Dassatti. Donna and her husband Paul lived in Yonkers until 1985 when they moved into the house that Donna's father built in Brewster. Donna's natural talent for design and artistry turned the house into a cozy yet stunning home which was the site of many fun and frequent gatherings of friends and family. Donna served as the NE Regional Manager for MCI Telecommunications where she was responsible for coordinating events at Super Bowls, PGA Tournaments, and MLB All-Star games. She loved singing along to her favorite tunes and painting pretty beach scenes on rocks she would find at the ocean. Donna was always at the height of fashion which earned her a well-deserved nickname, “DKNY”, as she was known to many who loved her. Shortly before the onset of the disease that eventually took her life, Donna and Paul enjoyed a two-week Mediterranean cruise, the vacation of a lifetime. Donna’s laugh was spirited, hearty, and highly contagious. When Donna laughed, we all laughed with her. She loved parties and would want us all to put on some music, raise a glass, make a toast, and have a good belly laugh in her honor. Donna is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Paul, whom she married nearly 51 years ago. She is the cherished mother of Tara and Scott (Caryn), adoring Nana to her "Adorables", Fiona and Rudy, loving sister to her brother, Dennis Dassatti and beloved companion to Tucker. Family and Friends may visit at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church,110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers, NY on Wednesday January 18th at 11am. Final Disposition will be private.
