Fernald loved to hunt and would spend deer hunting season as a ghost not being seen too often unless you were in the woods with him. Not many, if any, years went by that he was not quickly tagged out. He was mostly a self-employed carpenter working on several projects. He enjoyed to talk and when he got going on a story it was very hard to not sit and listen. Fern loved people and being around them but most important to him right before his two cats was the love of his life Lisa Reed whom he spent the last 25 years with.
He is survived by Lisa Reed of Poland, his parents Fernald and Gail Scott of North Yarmouth, a sister Anne Marie and her wife Ashley Eyler of Windham, Sandy, her son Steven Scott, whom was very special to Fern, and her husband Roger Lyford of St. Albans, and one brother Arthur of North Yarmouth. His best friend that he met hitchhiking to Lisa’s house 30 years ago Glenn Storer of Poland.
The family would like to invite you to celebrate Fernald’s life during visiting hours at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth ME 207-846-4011 on Saturday July 15th from 4:00 to 7:00pm. You may offer your condolences online at www.lindquistfuneralhome.com
