David Thomas Jaynes, age 69, died unexpectedly on December 13th, 2022. David was born in Portland, Maine on June 29th, 1953. He graduated from Windham High School in 1971. David had a child-like enthusiasm for life, vacations, and new adventures. He had a love for all sports and always said that he was a “Natural Born Athlete”. David’s favorite golfing companion was his son Keith, and they were often found on the course or just putting around in the backyard. He enjoyed following national sports, especially the Patriots, and organized ping pong tournaments in his home. David loved Christmas and giving unique presents to his family.
In his early career, David was a manager for Kmart and Kresge’s, which allowed him to move around to different states with his family. He returned to Maine, leaving the executive world to work at Red Carpet cleaning business, where he met a lifelong friend, Jay Wilson. David and his wife, Laureleen, enjoyed traveling (Ireland, the Grand Canyon and Grand Ole Opry to name a few destinations), going on cruises, as well as hiking. David is predeceased by his father Leonard and his brother Larry. He is survived by his wife Laureleen, his mother Joyce, his brothers Steve, Ronald, and Forrest, his sister Corina Jackson, his son Keith and wife Rachel, his daughter Karen Roman and husband Bill, and grandchildren Landon, Nicholas, and Sabrina, his stepson John Damon, his stepdaughters Candace Baker and Jennifer Paulo and their families.
