Even though she grew up during the depression era, she viewed her childhood fondly. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1952 and married Willie McKinley Talley on July 20, 1955. After living in various communities, they settled in Oak Harbor, WA where they raised their family. After Willie’s retirement, they moved to Yakima WA. They enjoyed travelling and became snowbirds living part-time during the winters in Yuma, AZ. Willie and Sadie celebrated their Golden Anniversary prior to his passing.
She enjoyed working in her yard, especially with her Iris garden. She was a wonderful, caring, sweet women who cherished her family and friends. As a devout Christian, she was a prayer warrior especially for her family. She would always take the time to have a conversation and connect with anyone. Her vibrant sense of humor was enjoyed by many who knew her.
She is survived by her 4 children: Juliana Nelson, of Grand Mound, WA, Belinda Jerde of Oak Harbor, WA, Nathan Talley of Katy, TX, and Wendy O’Brien of Yakima, WA, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens in Lewiston, Idaho on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 1:30pm.
