She attended elementary school on Brady Island and Sunday school and high school in Maxwell. One of her favorite teachers was her piano teacher and she began playing for church services at the age of 13. After high school, she attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.
She met Raymond George Vincent while attending church in Chappell, NE. They were married in Maxwell, NE on September 12, 1943 and made their home in North Platte, NE until moving to the Chappell farm in 1948 where they raised their 5 children.
In 1963 the family moved to Wapato, WA and Mary Alice played the piano and taught Sunday school at the Wapato Assembly of God Church where she was a member since 1964. After Ray’s retirement in the late 1970’s they enjoyed taking their trailer to Arizona each winter enjoying the fellowships at the Riverland RV Park and Parker Assembly of God Church where she was again asked to play the piano. Mary thought those were the best days of their 55 years together.
After 2003 she enjoyed the company of son, Jim, who cared for her in the family home in Wapato. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
