Leatrice was born April 9, 1925 to A.C. and Mattie (Willis) Alderman. She was born, raised, and resided in Tieton her entire life. She married Leslie T. Allan in 1947. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage.
Leatrice worked for Jim Gatliff (Jim’s Garage) in Tieton as bookkeeper. She was also a medical receptionist and a homemaker. Leatrice’s hobbies included sewing, crocheting and working in her flower garden. She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and water skiing with her family. Friday nights were reserved for card playing with friends.
She was an accomplished musician, playing the piano, organ and accordion. She also sang with the Bel Canto singing group! She was very dedicated to the Presbyterian Church in Tieton. She, at her death, was the longest living member.
Leatrice was an excellent cook and baker. Her pecan pie was my favorite. Leatrice and Leslie enjoyed their travels to Europe, Australia, and Alaska with their friends.
She is survived by her son Roger, grandchildren Kim Allan (husband Paul Anderson) and Scottie Allan, great-grandson Zander and Scottie’s children, daughter-in-law Sandy, plus nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie in 2018, son Terry, sister Sybil, brother Curtis, and parents.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Rainier Memorial Center in Terrace Heights. Interment will immediately follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
