Judy Gale Jones

For 37 years July served the United States Army as a Civil Service Employee beginning in Hawaii in 1976, continuing until her retirement in 2013 at Yakima Training Center. Throughout these years she made many friends and adopted many soldiers as her extended family as a stand in Mom.

She is survived by her three children: son, John (Melinda) Stevens of Mascoutah, IL, daughter, Cindy (Christopher) Simonet of Carbon Cliff, IL and daughter, Pamela Stevens of Ilwaco, WA; five grandchildren, Montana, Taylor, Cheyenne, Bryan and Emily all of IL.: brother, Robert Williams; sister, Terry Berg both of California and life-long friend and former spouse, John F. Stevens; and many nieces and nephews.

Her special love was her pets, family and friends.

“Life is like a coin. You may spend it anyway you want, but you can only spend it once.”

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Rainier Memorial Center with burial following at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
