Juan Prieto Rodriguez

Juan was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, May 27, 1939. He married Zenaida Leon Casas on September 19, 1956. They moved to Los Angeles, California in the late 1960’s. The Prieto family moved to Sunnyside, WA in 1974 where Juan worked as a farm laborer in the Yakima Valley.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents: Tomas & Concepcion; his son, Juan Jr. and other relatives who may all rest in peace.

Juan is survived by his wife, Zenaida Prieto Leon of Yakima; three sons, Ruben Prieto of Toppenish, Enrique Prieto of Yakima and Angel Prieto of Moses Lake; three daughters, Celia Prieto-Butterfield, Lourdes Prieto of Yakima and Alicia Madrigal of Wapato.

Visitation will be held at Keith & Keith 9th Ave Chapel on Saturday, May 7, from Noon until 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary service being held at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Sunday, May 8 from Noon until 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
