Joshua was born on Nov. 4, 1979 in Yakima, to Robert Simpson and Linda Chandler (formerly Simpson). He attended Robertson elementary, Franklin Junior High, and Eisenhower High School.
He was extremely good in arts and crafts, and was chosen to participate in Company 7, an artistically talented group of students. We have drawings, paintings, craft items, and photography to remember him and his talent.
Joshua will also be remembered for his love of Jesus. He asked the Lord into his heart at age 7, and then at age 15, he asked the Lord to be in control of his life. He was a member of Trinity Family Fellowship all his life, and had many friends there. He especially loved Pastor Dennis, and was always encouraged by him.
Joshua had many health struggles, both mental and physical, but he always kept his faith, and even encouraged others.
He leaves behind his mom and step-dad, Linda and Art Chandler; a brother, Gabriel Simpson; a niece, Destiny Simpson; a sister-in-law, Maribel (Simpson) Brown; and some aunts, uncles, and cousins, all were much loved by Joshua's big, tender heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Simpson; his older brother, James Simpson; his grandparents, Fred and Pollie Kile, and his aunt, Judy Shipp. He is having a heavenly re-union with them!
A memorial service at Trinity Family Fellowship, on the corner of Tieton and 13th Avenues, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14th at 1:00 pm. Please join us afterwards in the Fellowship Hall for refreshments and friendship. Per the family's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission in Joshua's memory.
