James Bernard Peterson

Herman & Helen Peterson on February 20, 1935 in Nanzel, Nebraska.

James hobbies were hunting, fishing, playing pinochle and yard work. He graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1953. James and Gwendolyn E. Apple were married in 1955 in the St Paul Catholic Church.

James is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn; daughter, Peggy Peterson (Les) Wood; Bruce

(Tammy) Peterson; Douglas (Renee) Peterson and Christopher Peterson; grandkids, Brian and Chelle Wood, Sarah (Derrick) Wood Denton, Christopher Wood, Kayla Peterson, Nate Peterson and Ryan Kyle Peterson; great grandkids; Colin, Maddy Denton, Kylie, Zarin, Makinzie Wood; siblings, Marilyn Peterson, Sister Paddy, Helen Peterson Switzer, Janet Peterson Evans, Joyce Peterson Bryce, Johnny Peterson, and George Peterson.

James was preceded in death by daughter Mary Collette Peterson, parents, Herman J. Peterson & Helen M. Nollette, sister Joan Peterson Ritchie, brothers Jerry Peterson, Joe Peterson, Ken Peterson and Jen's Peterson.

James worked in retail from 1953 to 1974 and was self-employed from 1974 to 2004.

There is a Memorial Service at 10am, Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Keith and Keith Funeral Home, 902 W. Yakima Ave., Yakima, WA.
