Jerry was born in Seattle and spent many years on the West side but always called the Yakima Valley his home or “God’s Country”. Jerry grew up on an apple orchard and had many adventures there as a young boy. He graduated from West Valley High School in 1960, went to Perry Trade School and became a machinist, which he did for many years. Jerry was an inventor at heart. People would come to him with an idea, and he would draw it up, build it and make the idea come to life. He was an avid Studebaker lover, collected many over the years and always enjoyed his friends in the Studebaker world. He was a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend. He loved giving us advice and passing on his wealth of knowledge. Jerry is of the last group of men who could literally fix anything. We will miss him but are relieved that he is in heaven and free from all the pain he had been living with.
