Thomas C. Jack, passed away on September 12, 2024. He was born on February 18, 1937 in Canton, Ohio, to the late Andrew and Margaret (Thomas) Jack. Tom will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Riley Jack; children, Tanya (Tom) Irelan and Amy (Brian) Kelly; grandchildren, Bailey and Maddie Irelan, and Charlie, Allie and Eddie Kelly; brother-in-law, John Riley; and sister-in-law, Sue Riley Brown.
Tom graduated from Lincoln High School and attended The Ohio State University where he was a member of Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity and graduated in 1959 with a BS in Business Administration. His professional career led him to Nationwide Insurance, Walter Wabash Life, and he later co-founded Employee Benefit Management Corporation.
Tom was a proud 60-year Mason and a 32-degree Scottish rite. He was an avid golfer and a member of the York Golf Club. Tom enjoyed attending Ohio State football, basketball and Cincinnati Bengals games where he was a season ticket holder at all three for 50+ years. He was a lifelong auto racing fan and attended 56 consecutive Indy 500s, and enjoyed time at his beloved St. Simons Island, Georgia. Most importantly, Tom will be remembered as a humble, kind, witty and generous man whose strong faith guided his life. He was a protective, supportive and loving husband, father and Papa.
A visitation for Tom will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 North High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. Following the visitation will be a memorial service at 4:00 PM. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends at the Whitney House in Worthington following the service.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to fund Parkinson’s research or the Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 North High St., Worthington OH, 43085.
