Holly Beth Gardner-Frank. Born March 26, 1967 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Died July 5, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. Daughter of Fredric Gardner and Sharon (Reenders) Gardner. She is preceded by her grandmothers and grandfathers, Virginia & George Reenders and Henry & Jean Gardner. Holly is survived by her husband Stephen Neil Frank, three children Abigail Rose, Stephanie Leigh & Willem Joseph, parents Fredric & Sharon Gardner, brother Christopher Gardner, and dogs Copper Boone Jagr (Jagr) & Calibogey Sable (Bogey) Frank.
Holly has a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from La Roche University and a Master’s in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She began her career as a Staff Officer at the Huntington National Bank in Columbus, Ohio. She then became an Implementation Specialist at Fidelity Investments, the Owner and Project Manager of The Blue Sky Idea Factory, Ltd., a Client Relationships Services Manager at Frank Wealth Management Group, a Para-Professional Aide at Olentangy Local School District, and the Billeting Coordinator for The Columbus Mavericks Hockey Club and The Ohio AAA Blue Jackets Hockey Club. Holly volunteered with the Delaware County Library and in the Olentangy Local School District.
Most importantly, Holly was a loving follower of Christ. She led a Bible study with her best friends for 15 years. She was a peaceful spirit in love with her faith and family and our good Lord chose her to be with him sooner than later. Holly was a lifelong hockey fan, and she loved to attend both her son Willem’s hockey games and the Columbus Blue Jackets’ NHL games. Holly was home for many, both friends and family alike. There is a book titled The Gospel Comes With A House Key: Holly’s life did too. She loved both people and her home, dreaming of opening a bed and breakfast at her family’s residence. As mentioned, she was a billeting coordinator who not only found homes for young hockey players to live in, but helped them clarify what was next in their lives after travel or junior-league hockey. She is loved and will be missed by many.
