Connell Albert Wittkopp

Connell Albert Wittkopp, 86, of Powell, passed away on April 11, 2025. He was born on September 19, 1938, in Muskegon MI, to the late Albert and Dollie (Snowfleet) Wittkopp. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jane Bovee’ and Lance Wittkopp.

He graduated from Tri-State University in 1959, with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a very successful career working for several manufacturing companies in various different roles. He is known as being a pioneer in Industrial Laser Applications. He rose to the rank of president of the Peerless Saw Company in Groveport Ohio and retired from Ohio Laser in Plain City.

In his free time, Connell was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner, an active member with the Elks in Michigan, and he loved old cars. Above all, he was a loving and generous father and a loving husband.

Connell is survived by his loving wife of 66 years and whom he met at the age of 16 with a wink and a smile, Georgianna; children, Georgianna (Wes) Davey, Albert (Barb) Wittkopp, and Dollianna (John) Van Fossen; 10 grandchildren; and numerous extended family and close family friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10am, at the Schoedinger Worthington funeral home, 6699 North High St., Worthington OH, 43085. A Celebration of his Life will follow.
